just seen pan's labyrinth

like the dude with no eyes, that scene was good, was expecting more of that type of fantasy horror, but it was more drama based than i expected, still it was memorable.

Don't be put off by the rather superficial reviews above folks! It's a really good film. (That's my superficial review).

It is a good film, but unfortunately people's expectations are raised by the amount of praise that has been heaped on it by critics like Mark Kermode. You hear him extolling all its virtues and go expecting film perfection - how can it possibly live up to that?

Well I watched it without knowing anything about it in advance, and was totally blown away. It spins round in your head for days afterwarRAB.

Movie makers need to find an alternative from always showing the best parts of a movie in it's trailer. They should focus more on the narrator telling us the basic plot
like they did on vhs tapes back in the 80's and early 90's.

Showing the best parts in the trailer will sell the movie but it can also ruin it by causing too much hype.

Hype leaRAB to expectation and too much expectation can lead to disapointment.
