Just replaced my garden hose valve with a valve that has an anti-siphon device

built in.It hammers.What to do? The garden hose bib or "hydrant" is 14" and has a anti-siphon valve built in. The ant-siphon valve hammers loudly. Why is it and how can I fix it? Thanks Ray
