So i went to do laundry and i came upon a mid aged couple and their very elderly mother or grandma. Everything seem to be normal and ok until i heard who it thought was the daughter tell the elderly lady she was a dirty pig. I turned and looked cause she was right next to me and she kept talking down to her. It seems to be the old lady had smudges on her underwear i really dont know how bad it was. It turns out to be the lady calling her names was not her daughter but her daughter in law.
Throughout the time i was there this lady didnt stop screaming at her and worse the elderly ladies son just got on her even more. It is to my understanding that elderly ppl have accidents all the time somehow revert back to when they were babies, basically need help cleaning themselves. She didnt bother asking what happend she just barked at her.
Somehow when it was time to fold we ended up on the same folding table and i saw tears coming down her face, she approached me and told me that the lady was not her daughter but her sons wife.
As we folded our clothes the dil kept looking and coming by to see how she was folding her own clothes and make sure they were neat. Once she finishd she put her clothes in a cheap trash bag that ripped open on the top. I helped her double bag the ripped one and put it on the floor for her. All she kept saying to me is 'my child may god bless you for i cant give you anything". My heart broke and i started to tear myself, I couldnt believe she was being treated so bad when she should be helped and looked after in her old age. Why would anyone treat family like this? I dont know what kind of relationship they have had throughout the years and if its payback but honestly i cant seem to comprehend the treatment.
The dil kept coming back to check her pile cause one of her socks went missing in all the clothes they washed, i thought was totally ridiculous.
In the end, the bitch dil sent her home cause she got on her nerves. I dont see how cause she quietly did everything she was asked for and would follow the lady back and forth as if she was her slave. I couldnt take anyone treat my mother this bad,i would kill them. When i left i asked her if she wanted to come with me home, she said No to me. I gave her my number and told to call. I really hope she is ok. I have her face stuck in my mind and am praying for her constantly.
