just need a little more help getting my 6700 working on cricket

ok i have a remix and bought a 6700 and want to get the remix accoung and nuraber working on the 6700. i followed the guides first changed the min nuraber and all that and put in the prl and at first someone texted and both phones got the text at the same time. but i tried the *228 and couldnt get it to work. then i tried the guide with extended rom and all that but when i tried installing the extended rom and mms unlocker i dont think they worked because when i did the hard reset it installed more than just the one file it was supposed to. the mms unlocker i dont think worked because i couldnt change the name of verizon's settings. i kept looking and found that the msl nuraber neeRAB to be 000000 but i dont know how to check that or change it. ive been trying and trying *228 and *22804 but it wont work. can someone please help me i feel so close but dont know what else to do. :crying:

oh and btw i am using a motorola mini usb data cable and it is working for the 6700 it lets me put things on the phone.
 
im not sure if the msl is 000000 thats what im trying to find out how would i do that? and to i havent tried kirvins rom i was trying badutahboys tutorial. can u point me in the right direction please?
 
one wierd thing is that i bought the 6700 off ebay and it came from new york, im in texas and theres a text coming through from someone in ny but when i get it, i get it on the 6700 and the remix at the same time but any other texts from ppl here in tx that come to the remix dont go to the 6700.
 
i was wondering how did you get your esn put on cricket? i am trying to add a tre0 6oo but they keep telling me that they can't add a phone not in there system
 
i havent done that thats another thing i need to know. do i need to call them and tell them im switching from my phone to a v3c or something and tell them to change my esn nuraber from the remix to the 6700 esn and which esn is it the hex or the dec? please help i really want to get this thing working already.
 
kirbins is the AKU aka the OS or variation there of. Budutahboy's ROM is what you install if you dont want to mess around with settings for MMS and WAP everythime you hard reset
 
cool i added my phone to cricket i was told to tell them it was a slider remix and it worked!! now the next hurdle ...programming the phone
 
i couldnt get badutahboys tutorial right i think when i tried to install some of the things wont install right. in the tutorial when it says to install both unlockers the apa works but is the other one the ppcgeeksapache extrom unlocker? i think thats the one that wont install right because after the hard reset it installs a lot of other things and the mms unlocker i think i install correctly im not sure but then i go to the mms settings and it wont let me change anything. to install those do i just click on them on the phone or how is it supposed to be done? and am i supposed to call cricket and give them the esn nuraber? if someone can chat with me in realtime and help me out that would be cool i have gmail we can chat on there. ill be on if anyone can help me out just send me an email at [email protected] thanks
 
The first two files he talks about which are the apa one and the PPC those need to be run first load them on your phone get into the phones file browser and run them by clicking on them. Then plug the phone back into the computer and navigate to the extended ROM back up that file then delete everything INSIDE of the fiile. Just copy the files from baRAB ROM into the extended rom folder and then do a hard reset everything should install right then.
 
yes i did all those too my settings are changed. could it be because i havent called cricket and changed my esn nuraber? is that necessary for the phone to be programmed? and if im changing from a remix to a 6700 do i need to turn the remix off before i do all of this?
 
i did that and it didnt work when i install those files theres two files i click on one and the little bar at the bottom goes across real quick then i go click on the other file inside the same folder of each of those and it says this file neeRAB to be run from inside the other one. jammis u got any chat program we could chat on maybe i could explain things better.
 
Ok if you got *228 calling cricket, the next step I would do is the ESN change. Yes you need to call cricket for that. They will charge you 15$ (I think) and then have you hange up and do a *228.

They will tell you but most likely its the dec. They dont care what the old phone was but they will ask you about your new one. Tell them its an audiovox xv6700. They will say something about they cant guarentee service. yea yea yea...
 
SounRAB like you are making this way too hard. I would suggest just getting it working first, then mess with the roms.

Your getting close. If your able to *228 and get to cricket, rather then verizon, you are very close.

I think at that point all I had to do was change the NAM name to my cricket area, and then update MSID with your 10 digit nuraber. I also changed the mip settings to profiles 1 and MIP mode to Simple IP only.
 
cool it worked! all i had to do was change the esn. now to go change roms and allow pic messaging internet and all that whats the best way to go about that. whats best for me or what do the different roms do and also with badutahboys tutorial i tried the mms unlocker but it didnt work i put it on the phone clicked it and the bar ran across the bottom and it said all this stuff on the screen like for example. and i went to the settings but it didnt let me change anything could i be installing it wrong?
