Bandits, that is. We're riding the often overlooked, always loved sport standard that's cheap because everyone else rejects it. Suckas!

thats the same category my zzr falls into. isn't it great to take advantage of what others don't see. I originally wanted a bandit12 but could not find one anywhere when I was looking.

A few months ago, I was in a quandary. I was just getting back into riding after a 25 year hiatus and the big question was what bike to get? Settled on my bright red 650 Bandit 2006 mainly because of the great deal I got. I've never looked back since.

This bike is great for everything. It goes like snot, handles well and the chicks all think it's a sporty crotch rocket! Lots of 1200 owners are ragging me all the time about it being a 'ladies'' bike but the power to me seems great right out of the box. Longer rides are not the most comfortable but I figure all I need is a taller windshield. Two hours and I'm ready for a pee and a smoke anyway, so it's no big deal.

It's weird, cuz my other choice was a Ninja 500 - just got to ride one for the first time and there really is no comparison. Sorry to any owners out there but I felt like I was riding on my John Deere lawn tractor!

Anyway, long story just to say I agree with Rowdy Red!

Nothing wrong with a 650. I had a Nighthawk 750 and wanted a bike with power to satisfy my adrenaline craving, that's all. The little brother Bandit is very competent, too.

I've heard your 1200 is only 20-30 lbs. heavier than my 650. My hp is 78 and yours is 110(??) Can't imagine that much power in basically the same frame.

I'm happy with my power. Just maybe a touch flat in first but she really pulls otherwise. I've done wheelies without even thinking about it! (Helped by a little bump in the road:D ) I have an extra cog that really helps in cruising, as well.

My learner had 31 hp. and that seemed pretty fast at the time!
