Just got the E65!! Unboxing pics(LOT of them)!!

I see you use the N73 as well....would you consider the E65 a viable upgrade from the N73? I love the N73, but would really like wifi...

Very Nice pictures Rapolu! I like the pencil comparison to really get a feel for the size.......unfortunately it's been so long since i've used a "pencil" I cant quite remember the dimensions. It's not one of those thick jammers is it? Either way, very jealous at this point and having a real tough time not pulling the trigger on that!...but I have to keep telling myself that it's just pretending to be the N95!

anyone know how the e65 screen compares to the e70-2? I currently have the e70-2 and while i LOVE symbian, I find that the e70-2 is too slow for me, and I it's a tiny bit bulky. I do love the phone though. Seeem slike the e65 might be better...but main reason holding me back is the screen. I know its bigger in size, but what about resoution? is the quality as nice?? thanks for the help!

I tried 99 pages/1.95 MB file & I could open it without any issues. I will check the videos later. I haven't thought about the case yet. It is already pretty small & I am not sure if I need a case for it.

Thanks Green! The pencil I have used is the standard one! not a fat one et all

This phone is amazingly small!! I am using wifi without any memory issues! Thanks to the 24+MB RAM & I am not sure if your N95 will have that much free RAM VoiP is working great!! I am loving the conference call & mute/unmute/contacts bottons. They are so handy!!

Both the e70 and e65 has TFT 16M colours, just that the e70 has 352 x 416 pixels compare to 240 x 320 pixels of the e65.. so i wouldn't say higher resolution, just bigger screen covering more pixels =P and ofcourse ppl can always correct me if i'm wrong

Well you are wrong. If you hold both phones next to each other, you'll see a noticeable difference. Pixels on E70 are much more dense than on E65. From an esthetical point of view though, I think that E70 is kind of ugly.

I've never seen the E70, but I have the E65 and comparing to a friend's N80, the E65 has a wider angle of view on the LCD, and the LCD can be viewed from any orientation without loss of quality. Typical LCD's can only be viewed from one orientation, and many phones actually have the LCD installed the wrong way because most LCD's are available in landscape only. This might not be obvious if you're not into photography or imaging.

Dont forget that fp1 makes better use of RAM so perhaps it'll be even steven!

...and enjoy that pop-port of yours!....i'll let you know how my 65 inch TV looks like with the N95's webbrowser!

If you really love the E70 screen, you will be sorely disappointed with the QVGA which is now the S60 standard. I love the high res screen on my N80 alot more than the QVGA screen on my E65. Also, the 2.2 screen size isn't that much of a difference compared to the N80's 2.0.

The only reasons I can think of going from a N80ie to E65 are 1)tired of carrying a brick around in your pocket, 2)you need blackberry connect or exchange mail server for push email, 3)tired of charging everyday and carrying spare batteries around, and 4)want a phone to play around with until the N95 prices stabize to the 550 Euro($700 US) estimated MSRP.
