Just got my n73 from plemix... questions...

Amen to that brother! There is no difference between made in Finland and made by Nokia. Quality varies from handset to handset, no matter who the hell made it.

personal preference/experience also plays a part. I have been burned by too many made by nokia phones...

and to everyone, let me say this again, i never claim all phones that are "made by nokia" have crap build quality!

I know what you're saying. I've had two N73's made by Nokia. The first one I had was rock solid. The one I currently have is a little creaky. I checked out two made in Finland N73's at the local Indian electronics stores in Chicago and they had worse build quality than my current phone. Like you said it's personal preference. I just haven't seen a made in Finland N73 that had any better build quality than my made by Nokia. I really do think it varies from handset to handset. Shame on Nokia for not being able to keep consistent build quality with made by Nokia or made in Finland N73s.

Plemix/x1387 phones come from HK & they are HK versions.. which contains the chinese characters on keys 1-5 &#. Whereas.. importgsm phones are malasia verions.. which has no chinese characters. This & the 1 year warranty makes me buy from importgsm though their prices are bit expensive!!

I just reformatted the sd card, I'll see what happens now. The installing message doesn't show up anymore.

But another thing - the camera quality. When I'm taking a picture, the preview has a bluish overlay that looks like tons of tiny little lines are moving down the screen. I have no idea how to describe it. After the picture is taken, it looks normal (not as good as I had hoped the n73 would be though).

Okay, the minisd took a crap again. Like I said, I formatted it yesterday.
Listened to music all last night on the n73, working perfectly.
This morning, the memory application shows all the normal information, correct amount of memory used, etc. But file manager says 'no data' for the storage card. When I select a song in music player, nothing is played. The player controls are greyed out. I restarted my phone, now in file manager it says (memory card corrupted). I don't know what to think - I want to try getting a new minisd card, but this card worked perfectly with my 8125..

If its the n73, I need to return the phone. It'll be 30 bucks to ship it back, but yea. Opinions?

I really need an answer - if I'm going to return this phone, it has to be done tomorrow. There's only a 7-day return period.

Does it sound like the issue is my minisd card or the n73 itself? Thats what I need to know. I've reformatted the card numerous times, on the phone, on the pc, I've updated the firmware on the n73... what else can I do?

Okay, I'm getting frustrated. I'm having a few very annoying problems.

First, the minisd card. It keeps 'corrupting' on me. The first time it happened, I took it out, put it in my 8125, put it back in my n73, and it worked again. It worked for a while, but now its corrupting again. And another thing - everytime the card works, when I turn my phone on, it says 'installing' for about a minute. Then it says that it couldnt install untrusted softward and to go to the App Manager. What is it talking about - do I have leftover install files that its trying to automatically install?

Applications keep quitting on me... I can never get into the camera; it appears like its loading, then it says 'gallery corrupted' or something, then it keeps trying to load and suddenly goes back to the standby screen.

Lastly, when I put pressure on where side of the phone where the IR sensor is, it 'pops' in and out. It doesn't actually pop, it just makes a clicking sound.

Do I have to pay for shipping back to Plemix if I want to return the phone?
