Just got my E65 (pic inside)

Phat^Trance,

Do you use Skype, MSN or Google Talk with fring? I have tried with my N80. I think it will work fine with E65 too. www.fring.com You need to find one listed model with 240x320 screen though.

Please help me I would hate to return this phone as I love it.

Have you tried to refer to your user manual? It works fine with my Jabra JX-10

JP first thank you for your reply but I called Nokia USA for help and they told me the bluetooth sold in the USA are made to work with the cell phone made for the USA market I do not how much of this story is true but again my wife has a motorola bluetooth and it works fine with the E65 and you just said that your jabra works fine also my bigest dilema here is I travel a lot and would love to carry one charger instead of two and it would be nice to use a nokia product all the way.
I looked in the manual there is nothing there to help me with this issue.
Thanks JP

I received my E65 today, everything works great, I love the phone but I'm having a major problem. When on a call I cannot hear the other line at all but the opposite line hears me. It's like the phone is on mute but it's not, and when I activate the loudspeaker we both can hear each other. The volume is all the way up. Did I accidentally turned off an option somewhere...can anyone shed a light on this matter?

Hi all try go to tool --> Voice comm --> option --> playback some of the items there..

It didnt work for my E65 -- I receive msg saying " Voice system error"

Tried factory reset but the problem still persist.

its seems that the speakers is broken
or have you tried to turn up the volume?

here in sweden we have something called DOA, dead on arrival. its 2 weeks, so if the phone doesnt work as it should nokia will give you a new one,, maby you have the same option were you live??

Yes, the volume is all the way up. I don't have a DOA option, I live in USA. I bought the phone on ebay from x1387. I emailed them about the problem and I'm waiting for their answer.

Hi,

So I got the E65 recently and noticed there can be a lot of apps working/on in the background.

If I wanted to maximize battery life, what apps should I turn off?

I've already turned off bluetooth and WLAN scanning.

Also, I permanently have the 4 squares (WIFI symbol) in the upper right corner of my screen. Is this draining my battery life? - or is it simply telling me that I have access to a WIFI network?

Any help appreciated. Thanks for reading.

the 4 blocks is a active connection of WiFi...

i also switched mine from Dual mode too GSM Only

also after about 1 weeks worth of use and charging the battery seems to be in its peek condition....i have a routine with all my phones and not sure if its really much of a benefit or truly does get the most outta of a battery.....but for the first week i charge my phone at the end of each day before i go too bed , no matter what the battery level is at

tested the SPORTS TRACKER software today, it works good with my E65 and holux 240. but there is one strange thing. im getting to high "average speed"
and when i choose the "map" section ill only get a black screen with some line. shouldnt i get like a "GPS maps" or something??? it would be cool to have the google maps there

here are some screenshots
