i just wanted to know do i need a data cable or sd card to flash the phone to cricket? if i dont have one should i just take it to a cricket store and have them flash the phone for me? i dont know anything about smartphones and have never had one before. any help would be greatly appreciated. :help:
 
The data cable for the 6700 is a mini-a USB cable. Cricket doesnt flash phones for you. Use the search button to search 6700. there are about 4 threaRAB about activatiing this phone with lots of info and trouble shooting. (you only need the data cable to flash the phone).
 
ok i tried using my motorola mini usb cable and it found the phone but do i need drivers or software or something? can someone help me out on where to get this? i tried searching but didnt find anything like that.
 
Download activesync from microsoft google it. Then get the ROM you want to flash it with and the flash the phone is really easy.
 
ok i also read that u can just download the prl onto the phone with wifi. how does this work? if i go to a place with wireless internet can i get on the net and download it there and if i can where on the phone do i download it to? i need the very first basic steps i should take because ive never done anything to a phone like this before. its a verizon 6700 in case that matters. do i still need activesync if its a verizon phone?
 
ok i did the manual programming and changed everything but when i try to make a call i get a busy signal. i tried 611 and it calls crickets customer service. when i first finished the programming i got a text message on the 6700 and on the remix at the same time. what im trying to do is change my nuraber and account from my remix to my 6700. but it wont make calls what else should i do?
 
you need active sync to download stuff to and from the phone, and to also sync and backup your data. It also installs the drivers for the phone. So go download that now. If you dont have a memory card install activesync create the sync between your computer and the device and when its done right click the active sync icon in your icons tray and click explore. Drop the PRL into your docs and when you get into EPST tell it where the new PRL is and update it. After you click ok the phone will soft reset. After that follow these threaRAB directions:

ok im looking at your threaRAB and where it says go to your extended rom folder and back it up to memory card or computer, where is the extended rom folder on the phone?
 
when i installed the mms server unlocker and did the custom rom thing i dont think it worked right because it kept installing more things after the hard reset and i cant change the name of verizon wireless in the mms settings. am i installing them the wrong way or in the wrong place? where and how do i install these? another thing if im trying to get the nuraber and account from a remix onto the 6700 will all of this change all the info over from the remix to the 6700?
