I got flashed twice by a speed camera, doing about 43 in a 30 zone (thought it was 40 limit, it's an A road after all, nobody but myself to blame).
I've read on the police website that they have to get the notice to you in 14 days for "good service" - however, I've only just bought the car (second hand) and the v5 registration documents would only have been posted max 48 hours before the camera flashed... so I'm not sure the Police will get it right, or if this will delay the notice?
In this case, does the 14-day period change? Because it's unlikely that the new car ownership will be processed and the fine subsequently posted to me within 2 weeks and I'd like to know if I could possibly avoid the fine/penalty points!
Thanks for any help guys and girls.
