Just got African Cichlids in my fish tank. Noticing odd behavior. Is this normal?

I recently noticed one of the darker blue ones has been hiding in the plants and just staying there. The first few days they were highly active and a bit of aggression but now that one Cichild has taken their self out of the scene, they just hide in that plant all day today. It will only come out for food and if it is being bothered. Is this normal? The faded pinkish cichlid is burrowing in the gravel at the bottom of tank quite often. Is that normal too?

Most of the group are bluish colored and one is a faded blue pink like color. How do you know which are males and females?

They are eating normally and swimming fine. No ones fins or tails seem harmed at all. Perfect condition otherwise.

The key to being able to sex your fish is to know what you have...beyond africans. There are so many out there!
Apparently one is a little shyer or has been bullied a bit. if it's eating well, just keep an eye on it.
