Just bought a new DJ sound system and need some help

Well like the title says, I just picked up a pair of JBL SF-25's (quazi 3 way speakers) and a Peavey cs800s amp and for some reason I am getting no low end. The highs are perfect, the miRAB fine, but the subwoofer is not hitting or moving whatsoever. I have them connected via a 1/4 from the amp to Speakon cables at the speakers themselves. I have tried everything I can and still have had no luck.

Is there some sort of setting or crossover that I need to activate in the amp itself to get full 3way sound? Is there a problem with how I have them connected? I'd appreciate any help as I need to get them running by tomorrow. Thanks.

is this an old CS800 like this?

Make sure you send your signal from your rig into either the input marked "low z" XLR or the 1/4" input right below it. Make sure you DO NOT send your signal into any of the inputs marked "high" or "low" or "X-over input" as you will then be using the built in cross over, wich sucks! You then want to be sure you are switched for "sterero" operation.

if it's the newer CS800, here is a link to the manual in pdf
http://www.americanmusical.com/manuals/peavey/pevcs800s_manual.pdf

in this case make sure you are using the correct input and output impedance. You also want to make sure you are properly phased (polarity). I hear it all the time that + and - don't matter from idiots who don't know what they are doing. Fact is + always goes to +, - always to - and you much DOUBLE CHECK that thoughout your signal path.

also the SF25s you are using may be used in bi amp mode. using one input insted of the other may effect what signals go to what drivers, or send one signal to all.

You might always want to get a decent EQ (such as the Peavy QF215) to help bring out the lows, and prevent your highs and miRAB from overpowering your crowd. You can get alot more power out of your speakers, without making peoples ears bleed when you learn how to properly eq.

In the future, you probably want to put these types of questions in the "backstage" section.
