I just bought a car from someone who is still making payments on the car loan. This person already sent out the total payment due on the car. I know it will take at least 2 weeks to get the title and for me to get it to my name and register the car to myself. How could I do to drive the car meanwhile? Is it possible to get a temporary tag or something? The car is still registered to the other person and we are trying to see if we can do something to get a temporary permit for me to drive the car without having to use her insurance. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to drive the car while I also wait for the title to come? Please help.
