just bought a 1996 jeep grand cherokee limited 5.2 V8 and what kind of gas does it need?

its full time 4x4 and what kind of mods should i do that are cheep and look good and are there any main problems it has stalled out a few times on me
 
I own a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 5.2l V8, I burn regular (octane rating 88) in it. Problems with stalling could be linked to poor fuel, try adding fuel stabilizer and topping up with fresh gasoline. Other problems may include an old fuel filter or clogged injectors. A good service would do lots of good. My Jeep seems to perk up with new plugs, oil and so on.
