Just a Rant about Astrology - Not Really a Question...?

Hey Everyone: This is just a little rant here, and I know I'll probably get some feedback that's not cool, but I just wanted to take a minute and type out something.

About a year ago I stumbled into the world of Astrology. Not the deep stuff about explaining your astrological charts and what not, although I do know that I'm a Pisces with Aries rising, but I started to read up on the profiles for each sign - and to be honest was blown away by the accuracy of the ones for my friends. I would read the ones about Pisces and was floored about how eerily accurate some of the things were.

I hadn't had a whole lot of luck in love, and I wondered if maybe the astrology component had anything to do with it - not that I think you can find a soulmate based on astrology alone, but I recognized that being a water sign, most of my best friends were other water signs too.

That's when I found my guy who is a total Cancer... well, we've gotten along so well that last night he proposed to me. It's nuts. I never thought something like that would happen.

I don't pretend to know everything about astrology... and I'm sure there's a lot of factors involved in us finding each other (fate, destiny, chance?), but who would guess that the one for me would be the one that the charts said it would be...
 
Yours is a superficial understanding of astrology. Just think if you had a birth chart done especially for you and one for your guy so you both can learn about each other and how to talk to each other and what kind of issues you might have in the relationship. You-all could get a really good start on your life together. It would be the best wedding gift you could give each other.
 
Astrology is a science and it helps to know about our future. The planertary positions at your birth time decide about your life. Astrology is accurate too but predictions given by astrologers cannot always be accurate. It depends upon their knowledge, experience becoz a lot of things are to be considered and if the astrologer by mistake neglects or has partial knowledge then predictions cannot be true. But i don't believe in general predictions because a lot of other people have the same sunsign that doesn't mean that all will lead the same type of life.Accurate predictions can be made only through horoscope of a person.
 
i know a pisces married 3 times.
2 (scorpios) died of cancer
1 (capricorn)
these signs have an afinity towards each otehr.
she said all those relationships came naturally. do what happens naturally.
 
I gotta agree with you on questioning the whole subject as I did for many years, but found that I also was exactly as my sign described, as was the friends and all others that I observed and studied! Then, upon starting a new job, after less than a week of working there, I asked my boss when his birthday was after writing down on a piece
of paper (Jimmy is a Leo) and after he finally told me it was Aug. 6th,
I excitingly handed him the paper and he said "someone told you" and
I replied no...and that was the final proof for me. I was totally convinced
that most people do act like their sign, and Astrology is really real!
So I do agree w/you, and also want to congratulate you on ur engagement to the most perfect match for you, according to the stars!
