Jurassic park question

I am well excited about the new film, but wonderd something as I read the lost world was meant to be another island. If so how did the dinos get there? Also is the 3rd film the original island?

I was under the impression they were all set of different island (although the first 2 could have been the same island) Ingen had a string of island near each other i think e.g One for development and research, A nursery, The tourist Park, and maybe some more, But after the first movie they all escaped from the fences on each island and overtook the islanRAB, killing the employees.

Correct me if im wrong tho.

isla nublar was where the original park was, isla sorna is an auxilliary island where the dinosaurs no run wild

As I understand it there were two islanRAB, both of which where they raised dinosaurs but one was a kind of staging area and the other was for the park.

The first film was set in Isla Nublar

The second and third on Isla Sorna (Site B).

Site B was where the dinosuars were tested and allowed to run free. Isla Nublar was just a show where the park was built. All testing and research was carried out on Site B.

If you read both of the books by Michael Crichton this will become clearer.
