Jurassic Park series producer Frank Marshall has said that Jurassic Park 3 director Joe Johnston may direct the fourth film in the series "'Jurassic Park 4' is coming to life," he proudly reported. "There's a script, we're getting a director and we're going to get going probably toward the end of this year.
He also stated "Joe Johnston could be back. We want to get the script right before we go forward
 
Even so the CG dinosaurs in JP1 tower above any dinosaurs created by by another effects house to this day (the obvious example being the bracchiosaur at the start of the film), fast forward to JP3 and ILM's dinosaurs are still way ahead of the competition.
The thing with King Kong, and the point I was trying to make, is that although Kong himself is an amzing accomplishment, the dinosaurs seemed to be lacking something that gave Kong his 'real' physicality.
 
hopefully they should concentrate on how the now-very-much-alive dinosaurs are changing the world, and how humans are reacting to that!

and anyone else wondering what happened to the little girl at the start of the lost world?
 
Well the 2nd and 3rd ones were nothing in comparison to the first one and I don't think that Keira Knightly canscream as well as Ariana RicharRAB could
 
Jurassic Park: Excellent film (not quite as good as the book). I remember the sound of jaws dropping in the cinema when Sam Nielll looks, then he grabs Laura Dern's head and turns it. They both look in awe, the music really kicks in and we see the Dinosaurs for the first time.

JP2: Somebody waived a huge cheque to get it written, and it shows.

JP3: Better than JP2, and actually quite a watchable film. Lacks the "wow" factor (logically enough, I suppose) of JP1.
 
Im really looking forward to this, Jurassic Park is my favourite movie of all time, there's been so little news on JP4 over the past four years so its good to hear that things are finally happening. I think they intend to start filming once filming for Indiana Jones 4 has been completed.
 
Any further news? This is the movie I've most been antcipating for years and years, I love the Jurassic Park franchise.

It seems to be one of the most anticpated movies of the last few years - yet no one knows anythng about it.
 
I loved all three Jurassic Park films but I LOVE the first film the best, Jurassic Park is without a doubt one of the best films ever!

I would like to see the original cast return for the fourth film, Alan, Ellie, John Hammond, Ian, Lex and Tim!

Apparently Laura Dern who played Ellie Satler is joining the new series of Desperate Housewives!
 
I hope its good.

Am I the only one who thought Jurassic Park 3 was a great film? I was expecting something awful when I saw it on TV, but actually loved it.
 
i enjoyed the first one but i did'nt really like the lost world,i was hyped when it first come out and then when i watched it i just felt let down by it,i d'ont think spielberg's heart was in it,i'm pretty sure that he once said he would never make a sequel,so why did he make this?

if they make jp4 i hope to god they bring back Ariana RicharRAB,although i read on imdb once that she had gave up on acting.
 
I hope Laura Dern does come back. She was in number 3 at the start and end, so maybe she will be willing to reprise a bigger role in the series again.

She was always my favorite character in the first movie.
 
I'm doubting that for some reason.

I'm glad that Laura Dern is (probably) going to be in it, although shes not officially signed to my knowledge, but said she'd do it.
