jumping a jeep gone very wrong?

I was jumping my friends jeep last night with my 1993 chevrolet 2500 truck when the jumper cables rubber coating started to melt off. so i unhooked it and told him i wasnt helping anymore. my truck and battery were fine. when i went to start it 2 hours later it wouldnt turn over at all. the lights would work but it wouldnt turn over. so what could be wrong with my truck besides maybe my battery is dead, the starter is dead, or a fuse blew?
it is my friends fault. i was in my truck when he hooked them up.
i tried jumping it this morning(the right way cause my friend didnt do it) and it wouldnt start still.
 
you know what might have happened? he could have had a short in his battery and it fed back into yours and shorted yours out. it,s a wonder it did,nt ruin your computer if it did,nt already. if it turns out to be your computer take 1 out of another truck just like yours at the junk yard and install it in your truck. i would,nt be jumping anyone else if i were you.
