Jump mobile flashing?

Hi, Im new to cricket and flashing, but if I buy a bad esn samsung upstage and flash it with cricket software, like a phone flashing kit on ebay for $20, can I activate it on jump mobile, which is owned by cricket I think? I would just use it for calling and texting, and I would put music on the memory card. My friend has had two cricket phones on jump, but she says her cousin takes care of her bill. Thanks so much!
 
You won't need to flash it. Take it to a Cricket store and activate it. Jump and Cricket are both owned by Leap Wireless. It already has the Cricket PRL. At least that is the way it has been in Lincoln.
 
Same Jump is Crickets Prepaid and it will work on there postpaid plans if you want to call them that, also they did away with Jump, there new prepaid is called PayGO

and if its a Cricket phone no flashing is needed unless its a non cricket phone.
