ok so the first thing i noticed was the flashing phones to cricket thread. but im curious to know how to flash a phone to jump mobile. I know its possible i read about a guy who did so with a sprint phone, but he didnt say how it was done. i have plans on buying a new phone to replace the one i am having problems with, but i dont want to spend the money and it end up not being able to work. can someone explain how it works and the proccess to do it?

i read somewhere that jump doesnt let you use phones with a SIM card either. is there a way around that? it would be nice to be able to use a SIM card with my phone.

ok thanks that answers one questions.

ok. i want to test this out. is it possible to do so on a kyocera hanRABet? i dont know the model nuraber but its called the oyster. i dont believe i saw it listed in the flashing thread.

Yeah if im not mistaken is the kx1 or also called kyocera milan. but dude thats a crappy phone Lol buy yourself a prepaid one from verizon for like $30 or $40 Motorola w315 or a samsung phone and put that mofo on Cricket Lol

well the kyocera oyster doesnt have a way to hook it to the computer to change the firmware. however i am going to buy a samsung verizon phone from walmart soon i hope to do this too.

once i put it on cricket how do i go about changing it to work with Jump?

Any phone that is flashed or original CricKet phone will work with Jump. I currently have a Moto Q on Jump. I had to call 3 times when I got the ESN changed because they wouldn't let me "activate" it. Just tell them the ESN and say its a RAZR or KRZR. Otherwise they will give you the run around. The Jump Customer Service phone centers are not like the CricKet ones where you can just say customer supplied. They will give you crap and not activate it for you. At least this was my experience.

i was told that a phone with a SIM wont work with cricket. any way to get around that? im about 90% positive that my next phone will have a SIM in it. most verizon and cingular (at&t) phones have SIM carRAB, and that was what i was looking at.

verizon phones do not have sim carRAB, but cingular and t-mobile do.

No there's no way to get around it. Just gotta get a phone from verizon, sprint, qwest, alltel, metro pcs, etc (providers w/o sim carRAB)

I think you might be confusing the micro sd card for a sim card, They are not the same and Ive seen alot of people think the cuz the phone has this card it uses they think its a sim card.

jump is cheaper then that. i buy 50 dollars worth of minutes at a time. which lasts 3 months. i get all my texting free and free incoming calls. and i barely call anyone so at the end of 3 months im usually buying ringtones and backgrounRAB. its got to be the best pre paid ive seen around.

just out of curiosity.. my phone gets poor service unless im in town(live in the country) but i can literally see the verizon tower from my bedroom window, if i buy a verizon phone and then flash it to cricket, will that help with my service problems?

Well, my nokia 5170 has finally crapped out... dropped one too many times...

It was/is registered on Jump... gonna need to swap it on over to a vzw inpulse U340 i bought on clearance at wallyworld.

I need to do a JUMP esn swap or switch, seen plenty of "will do a cricket swap for X dollars"... can you guys do a jump too?

TIA.

FWIW why jump? $50 for 90 days use at a time, wife doesnt call out much...
Why,U340?... it was on clearance And I came accross a smashed LCD cricket u340, so I figure I'll try taking the info off it and flash it to thee new one.
I should be able to OTA for now, once Swap is done, right?

Once again, TIA
