July's Jaunty Jammy Jovial Compilation

Eight Frozen Modules - Interesting stuff. Not really my sort of mixing and seems a bit bare, but is well done. Think it would be less interesting without the language mix. Carried on a bit without offering much variation.

The Pop Group - Not really my sort of thing. Tones/pitch annoyed me :p: Pretty boring post punk IMO.

KMFDM - Again, not my sort of thing... Industrial rock that doesn't seem like anything special to me (Admittedly don't know too much for the genre)

The Brogues - Better than most garage blues rock I've heard... Not really saying a lot though. Good for what it is, but pretty generic pap for me. Nice and simple, all it neeRAB to be really.

Townsend - The opening intrigued me... Unfortunately it became another proggy song. Even then, it was pretty interesting, not bad at all. Hardly memorable though, not a fan of the vocals.

She & Him - 'Indie' pop folk... Annoying as FUCK vocals. Terrible...

Sisters of Mercy - Goth rock at its most goth rock. Not bad, Just hardly the type of music that holRAB my interest. Would be decent in the right mood, not really in that mood atm obviously.

Frost* - Not a fan of the vocals, another prog piece from the AntMan. Pretty boring.

Los Lobos - More annoying vocals. Not my sort of thing.

El Ten Eleven - Post guitar rock without any of the things that normally interest me in PGR. And it only goes for 4 and a half minutes, what sort of weak post rock is this?!?!?! :p: Jk, actually refreshing for a post rock song not to blab on me waste space.

Dead Can Dance - Thank god, something different from rock music... Not only that, from one of my favourite banRAB ever, one of the best songs from Aion. Whoever posted this - GREAT CHOICE!!! Perry one of the most underrated vocalists/writers IMO.

Ali Farka Toure - Nice world blues from the legend.

Bandits - Annoying vocals, but it carries a nice upbeat ska charm to it. Not my thing at all, but its enjoyable due to its nature alone.

Buffalo Killers - Bluesy rock with some psychedelic guitar and annoying vocals. Wish it developed a bit more, may have found myself enjoying it.

Gong - Well, at least there was less prog than in the last competition... Still, its prog... Pretty much all sounRAB the same to me nowadays.

Gotye - Carrying an almost reggae beat, it was actually interesting/decent, even if I ain't a fan of the vocals. Aussie as well apparently.

All I can say is, at least there was less prog than the last compilation :p:
Still, it reminded me how boring I find most guitar based music atm.
