Judy Garland

For the UK Release -

No bonus features.
It plays as one long feature.
Yes, it covers the life of Judy Garland from beginning to end - although it's a somewhat swift journey :D

Just watched 'the wizard of oz' (remastered version) from the special 3 disc set that was originally released in 2006 (i think?). If you are a 'WOO' fan or havn't got it, I really advise you do. It's under a fiver on amazon and is a 3 disc boxset with tons of extras.

Also got 'the star is born', havn't watched that yet.

Has there been any more news on Anne Hathaway's portrayal as Judy in an upcoming biopic (was scheduled for 2012 apparently).

I just read the book by Lorna Luft (that inspired the movie-still yet too see I will add)-and it really is good. Very honest and very 'normal'. It's hard to think of American actresses and singers etc being normal-but Judy was-but got caught up badly along the way.

The 'goodbye' chapter is particularly sad. :( I guess this is all in the movie as the cover says 'now a film for tv'.

Getting ready now for MMISL (film4).

Grr, if anyone knows a good region 2 'me and my shadows' then please help on my quest haha. and I will deffo look into the AU release. :)

I like Judy Garland a lot. I don't know much about her personal life, but I enjoy watching her films, she always seems to play such likable characters.

I've seen her in:
Wizard Of Oz, In The Good Old Summertime, Easter Parade, Meet Me In St Louis, Love FinRAB Andy Hardy, For Me And My Gal, Zigfield Folly and only today I watched The Pirate (I watched it more for Gene Kelly, but Judy was great in it too :) )
xx
