Not a film but as you're a fan of judy I'm sure you'll be interested in this.
On BBC Four tonight as part of it's American Songbook Season there is a show called; Judy, Fran and Dean.
It's a TV concert film of Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. It's on at 11:35 tonight and repeated at 2:15am as well.
The edited version of Me and My Shadows is still a great watch.
Yes, Judy is a legend but from what I've read (Lorna's book, among others) she would hate all this and 'such a tradgedy!' - yes, she had a tough life but she wasn't a tragic person.
As she said...forget your troubles, c'mon get happy
Ahh right, I won't bother with that then. I'd love to see an actually good biopic on these strong, independent successful women, but so hard to find one that's actually descent.
I should be purchasing 'M&MShadows' soon, I really want to see it but am trying to hold out for the feature length.
Just a quick Q for those who have seen it, is there any scenes (when Judy as Dorothy is on set of 'the wizard of oz') of actress Margaret Hamilton as the wicked witch (obviously portrayed by a different actress)? I loved Margaret as the Witch. Such a great portrayal.
