Judy Garland

I think she was happy, you always saw her smiling etc. But her personal life was the saddest. I.e. as soon as she shut her door, she was alone.

I must get the 'me and my shadows' DVD, to explain more. :)

Looks very interesting! Thanks very much! :)

That's the edited version (apparently) unfortunatly, still a r2 version of the full version is out there somewhere.

EDIT: Just seen some images from 'me and my shadows' and it seems it is the one i'm after. The actress(es) look so much like Judy. Great casting. Can't wait to get the DVD. Did want it in full though :(

The woman was a true legend. Meet Me In St Louis is the one film I'm guaranteed to watch every time it's on TV (mainly for the Trolley Song and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas).

God, I'm such a stereotype...

Oooh I say, yes it came out in about 2001/2002 I believe?

Is there lots of classic bits like 'Judy' on set of the wizard of oz? I saw a few pics of that, looked great.

I remember the scene where all drugs were attatched to Judys coat or gown or something, tough times and very sad :(

There was a TV documentary on The Wizard Of Oz and they showed outtakes, cut scenes, screen tests, and wardrobe tests and Judy's personality shone through.

Even though she was only 16 she was goofing around, laughing and kidding around with the other cast members.

I think she said later that doing that film was the happiest period of her life.

Well I`v just lost myself for 3hrs in a long lost world.....There`s just something about those 1940`s Hollywood epics.
As for Judy Garland....well; when I was a young lad I can remember falling in Love with her:o after watching the Wizard of Oz....She was the first Girl...all be it a long departed movie star....who I found attractive.....I must have been 10 or 11yrs of age.

I just watched various interviews with Judy on youtube. The final years wern't so good, she wasn't the same Judy was she? Not that fun girl from 'the wizard of oz' and 'easter parade' etc. She was like a different woman. It's quite sad really.

Still need to get 'me and my shadows'
