Judging from these observations, does my dog have fleas?

Hi all!

I have a beige-colored maltipoo who is turning 4. Recently, I discovered that she started hiding underneath my couch. My house has carpets pretty much everywhere, thus, it is easy for fleas to hide. Anyway, ever since my dog started hiding under the couch, she seems to start scratching A LOT. I was holding her on my lap yesterday for an hour and soon after she got off, I realize I have a few "dots" on my hand. They look like insect bites. Furthermore, my thigh and leg is growing quite itchy too (because I was wearing shorts). I took a detailed look at her skin and fur today, but didn't find anything. My questions are:

1) I was looking at her fur with my eyes, will I be able to see any fleas, or other insects without a microscope anyway?

2) Do you think she has fleas?

3) If she does, should I completely sanitize my entire house?

4) Before she went under my couch, she doesn't seem to itch on other carpet areas

5) Can fleas be transmitted to humans (i.e. ME)

6) If it is not fleas, what other problems could cause this problem?

Thanks for those who can provide answers to my problem!!!

Ok well she may have flees, somethings bothering her.( try using gloves and move her hair and see her skin if u see any) Buy a flea shampoo and start washing her more often to also Get her a flee colerr or flea gels and run it through her neck to her tail. And for ur rugs if its possible to put them in ur yard and put salt over them let sit for 24 hours then vacume it reallly good and dispose of ur vacume bag. U should do this quickly bcuz they could hatch more eggs in ur carpet and get on your dog again. As for you, my friend had tht same problem she had to go to the doctors bcuz her itching became worse , they had to give her lots of creams and pills buz this bug bit her reeally badly. So yea urs may not be tht bad. She waited for ever . So good luck HOPE THIS HELPed....
