Journalism Major Help?!?!?!?!?

I am a journalism major at a university in Boston. I think that I want to go into PR, but I dont know that much about it and I can't really find a straight forward solid answer. I am also looking to either pick up a second major or a minor, but I dont know what. I want something that will give my degree in journalism an "umph".

I was originally thinking of doubling with English- because another part of me really wants to be an english teacher- but I dont think i have enough time to complete the program and i dont think that it will give me that "umph" that i am looking for as far as journalism is concerned.

First of all, fix your grammar, if you want to go into journalism. "dont" is don't. "i" and "english" should be capitalized.
 
PR is mainly pitching stories to journalists. It just depends really what you want to do. Some PR people come to the field with a journalism background and it gives them an advantage because they know the field. If you like writing, events, publicity, promotion, and can be organized, detail-oriented and willing to start at the bottom and work hard up a ladder, then go with PR. It is basically trying to get free advertising. I like it...
