Ok, sorry. My best friend has been in the army almost a year and he's so depressed and someone in his unit just killed themselves. Please. Just think it through but if it's something you really really want to do, good luck it's really admirable. On with your question!
You don't have to give all your stuff away you just keep it with someone like a family member or friends. You can't take any of your possesions. My friend took his bible and snuck pictures into the pages. Now that he is out of bootcamp he can have a car and he says it's just like a very hard job. On the weekends they can do whatever they want.
