Joining the military after high school? What do you guys think?

After I graduate I was thinking of joining the Army. Go somewheres in life instead of staying in the same town like the other past graduates lol ;p
 
It sounds like Michael is hating because he couldn't hack it in basic. Don't let his biased opinion sway you. Like me and many others who have joined, you're joining because you want to, not because some recruiter lied to you. I understand where your coming from and i support you 100 percent in going somewhere in life and making it what you want it to be. Not everyone can afford to go to college after high school and not everyone who can't afford it is eligible for a grant. And college is just simply not for everybody.
 
You are the kind of mindset We need. Do it and you won't regret it.

EDIT: For sure don't listen to the guy below me. He didn't even have enough ba**s to finish Basic. Ha. Loser.
EDIT: The Halli girl is selfish and doesn't realize that you join to serve a cause greater than yourself. Also I have alot more fun on the weekends in the Army than any Frat fag does.
 
It's fine. 90% of service members didn't go to college, so don't feel bad. Think of it as taking time out of your life to defend your country and you have the balls to do what about 96% of America doesn't have to do.
 
sounds like a good plan. You will be surprised at the oportunities you will have and places you will see. Dont worry, being in the Army is a lot easier than you probably think. Once you finish Basic ATraining you will have a life that you will enjoy and earn the kind of benifts you would never be able to have back in your home town. Good luck I wish I could go back in time and join all over again.
