Joining the Army with past drug use? (Last time)?

I asked this before but for the Marines.

My question is:,
1. is it possible to join the Marines If I smoked Marijuana about 2 years ago?
2.Also will they make a big deal out of it? and should I tell them?

I asked my father (which served 27 years in the military and he smoked also), he said I could but im just worried things might have changed since then

2 years ago? they would have no way of finding out you did through a piss test

you could join if there are no other problems,, two years is long enough for it to have left your body,,, don't need to tell them unless you are going into a job that needs security clearance, then they might not like it if you lied to them....i was career military
