Johnny Depp- Like/Dislike?

Well he did used to do it a lot. He couldn't seem to get through an interview that lasted longer than 5 minutes without lighting up. Although that may have been partly down to nerves. But he said he was seriously cutting back, to 1 or 2 a day with the intention of eventually giving up completely and I haven't seen him smoking for a while now.

I've never seen him in a film and disliked his performance - he's done some really odd films but his performances are always top notch (even in terrible films like Cahrlie and the Chocolate Factory - what can I say I loved the first film!) and I wish the academy would give him something! He's also gorgeous even with the amount of make-up on that he wore to be Jack Sparrow.

However, I've seen him interviewed and he is decidedly odd. I don't think I'd go for a pint with him! He was on Breakfast last week with Tim Burton and the poor interviewer struggled to get him (actually both) to say more than one word at a time. Even the main presenters said he looked like hard work.

Seems like a fairly decent bloke, down to earth for a movie star but he has never seemed at ease with fame.

Very good actor too,I admire the fact he took a gamble by taking unusual artistic roles/movies when he could of took a more easy route (i.e Tom Cruise) taking surefire box office hit movies.

Disagree on Don Juan I thought his mesmerizing performance stole the show (not easy in a movie with Brando & Dunaway).

A good film indeed, but when released on video it was edited at the end so much I didn't know what was going on because I hadn't seen it in the cinema

Really like his films - always watchable.
Plus seems to be a good bloke - loved the story re Great Oemond St hospital - after his daughter was treated therehe gave a million pounRAB persuaded Disney to give 10 and send for his costume from pirates to read stories to patients for four hours - all without any press or look at me being good publicity - top bloke.

I am in awe of his acting, I guess its down to taste but I think he is one of the greatest actors of all time.

He seems like a decent guy, I like his sense of humour, and he is very pretty :D But I know lots of guys who also fit that description (not the greatest actor bit tho!)

I haven't seen him in person, but somehow I don't find him attractive, even though he is undeniably very pretty.

This is pretty much my view of JD too. I don't dislike him; I'm just not impressed.

Most beautiful man alive (inside and out).

Acting genius.

Most wonderful human being.

Generous, kind, thoughtful (Great Ormond street).

A sight and sound for sore eyes.

He can't possibly be overrated - the man is a GOD.

One of my heroes and I adore him. :)
