I think all the dancing is great. I listened to the commentary on the newest 'Flashback Edition' with Judd and AMH, and it makes even more sense now. After all the therapy session depressing talk, they need to just break out into dance.

Awwww, that sucks, Stacy, I'm really sorry. :( I understand why that would bring up bad memories for you. I'm like that with certain things too.

You too!

I love that movie. When they start dancing is the best part besides the talking in the circle. :(

Oh and PTA is a good movie, but I hate it for personal reasons. I was pretending to be asleep to see if my best friend would make the moves on a guy I was in love with and she did. I always remembered that was the movie we were watching. It was okay though, even though we fought over him for 10 years, I finally went out with him and now i'm sorta friends with his wife and she hates my friend. Karma is sweet!!

One of my ab faves is Sixteen Candles. You guys know TBC, I know Sixteen Candles!! :)

ETA: Hi Anji. I miss ya girlie!

Oh yeah, you should see me when I reenact when John shows Andy the cigar burns he got for spilling paint in the garage

"Do. I. STUTTER?"

Mine is hands down The Breakfast Club. I know that movie forwards and backwards... It's pathetic! I was in a Virgin Megastore once and my friend was talking about how she wanted to go home and watch it, so I just started acting out the movie for her. I know every line, every facial expression, every movement... It's insane :lmao:

Do you think they sell Jake Ryans' on amazon? ;)

It's pretty good, very funny, but it also has a lot of heart to it too.

John Hughes Thread :yay:
I just watched "The Breakfast Club" one of my all time favorite hugh movies!

ROCKSTAR, I definitely went through wanting to have my very own Jake Ryan phase...actually, I still want one.

I still can't get over just how much Hughes got away with in a PG movie, actually.

Welcome to the thread, Stacy!

Have you guys checked out that tribute I linked to in the OP...it's really good.

I was thinking about how Hughes had some of the best quotes in his movies, and this one came to mind...

Planes, Trains, & Automobliles:

Car Rental Agent: Welcome to Marathon, may I help you?
Neal: Yes.
Car Rental Agent: How may I help you?
Neal: You can start by wiping that ****ing dumb-ass smile off your rosey, ****ing, cheeks! Then you can give me a ****ing automobile: a ****ing Datsun, a ****ing Toyota, a ****ing Mustang, a ****ing Buick! Four ****ing wheels and a seat!
Car Rental Agent: I really don't care for the way you're speaking to me.
Neal: And I really don't care for the way your company left me in the middle of ****ing nowhere with ****ing keys to a ****ing car that isn't ****ing there. And I really didn't care to ****ing walk down a ****ing highway and across a ****ing runway to get back here to have you smile in my ****ing face. I want a ****ing car right ****ing now!
Car Rental Agent: May I see your rental agreement?
Neal: I threw it away.
Car Rental Agent: Oh boy.
Neal: Oh boy, what?
Car Rental Agent: You're ****ed!

All the uses of the F-word are just priceless! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

ETA: Here's that moment if any of you want to watch it. I just re-watched it. That lady's face is pricless! And she's from Ferris Bueller too.

YAY for the best thread ever!! Totally grew up on these movies and they never get old. :)

 It's such a classic. I remember when I watched it the first time. I couldn't believe I had not seen it before. I waited too long to meet Jake Ryan. ;)

Anytime. :) Thanks for letting me start it. :D

Oh, I don't even want to contemplate it.

Thanks. :)

Yeah...I was thinking some of the more popular of his films movie posters would be nice in our OP.
