Job security for Motorcycle mechanics?

With this economy the way it is, would it be stupid for me to invest money into MMI and become a motorcycle mechanic?

Expecially considering how big companies like Nissan (I know they don't have motorcycles) just cut 8.5% of their emolyees.

I am interested in going to MMI to become a HD motorcycle mechanic.
 
Edward: In my part of the country, a good independant HD mechanic is hard to find. You obviously know how much it costs to take your bike in for repairs and maintenance at an HD dealership. If we can find someone to do the work at a much more reasonable rate and their shop area is somewhat clean, we'll go to you.
Being an HD mechanic is more than turning a wrench...bring along a decent personality that will keep the people coming back because they like your work and they like YOU.
