In the US?
What is a typical low paying American job, someone working a part-time retail job?
What is a typical high paying American job, an investment banker? A trial lawyer?
Really, your position is that poor people, people working part-time or full time at low skill, low responsibility jobs "work harder" then people pulling in $250K+ a year?
You have never met a rich person then, because I know many people who are "rich" and they work 60-80 hrs/week doing hard, complicated, high responsibility work.
I am not rich, but I have a hell of a lot more respect for people that sacrifice their lives (literally almost every waking hour) to do really challenging work, then someone I run into working at Target who doesn't give a shit about their job and can't even fake customer service for the 20 seconRAB I interact with them.
By in large, you get back what you put in, so I don't buy any bullshit about how "rich people are lazy" and "poor people work so hard". The fucking parking lot attendant in my office building is probably poor and he doesn't do shit all day, just sits there.
