Job listings say the unemployed need not apply

The worst part is that I have lost a few frienRAB recently because they think I am soooo negative now.

Meanwhile my ex girlfriend has her grandpa pay for her cell phone bill and co-signs off on her college loans she takes out.

And my uncle who inherited 2 million dollars when his wife died thinks I am being lazy because I don't have a job. Meanwhile he has never had a job.

I'd have no problem with an employer checking my credit after I have accepted an offer letter.
Want to check it in the application process?
FUCK YOU

I don't have first hand knowledge on the difference between the chronically unemployed and the recently unemployed? Really?

Is this a criticism of the fact that the threshold for low income housing is too high? I mean, if you make $47K I don't know that I would consider you poor (that is what I was making just out of college 4 years ago and I was really happy with that).

I think you are seeing the symptoms of multiple problems. One is that during the boom you are getting concentration in boom industries and in the bust we see an exodus from them. So you get a lot of people with skills that do not match existing jobs. In addition, during a bust employers will let off a lot of shitty workers.

Yes, some companies go under and some good people get let go. But a lot of the unemployed have the wrong skills for the existing market or are shitty workers, so it seems reasonable that SOME employers might say, "Look, you are unemployed, I probably am not looking at you as a hire."

Also, this point about students is different, it has always been hard for people with no experience to get work, boom or bust.

Christ you're fucking retarded.

For the umpteenth time: Those who are unemployed are generally less qualified than those who are employed.

Hint: Nowhere in that statement do I say that the unemployed are not qualified

And he's old as fuck.

Try being in your 20's or a recent college grad. Holy fuck.

The unemployment rate for 20 somethings is worse than during the Great Depression.

I had been unemployed for nearly a year. I was working retail as a Sales Manager when my position was eliminated. I have just started working back at the store only part-time as a sales associate. How do I not make a cluster fuck out of my resume now? If i ask the general manager he would say I am working as a Manager again even though I am not. Do I do that or put a lower level job above my management position on my resume. I am going back to school in about a month but also was contacted this week about another management job I applied to and a job as an accounting clerk with the city.

It's like we are lumped in with welfare Moms and crack addicts.

I truly hope no one on OT ever becomes unemployed. Especially the callous ones. It will shatter them as a person.

It is scary how prevalent this has become in IT related fielRAB along with shit pay. I myself took a 50% pay cut with my current company because I got laid off and this was the first thing I could get. I have a heavier work load, more vehicle related expenses and am doing more technical work now as well.

I just give in at this point.

It's not like the places that want pics care that I come from a 4 star background or have sommelier experience. They are usually beer and shot places that want a chick with big tits.
