I had a job interview today and spoke with the manager. He said that I carry myself well and thought I was 35, then 20. I'm 16 and that was my first job interview. I intended to apply for a waitressing position, but the manager asked if I was interested in being a hostess. I'm guessing because food servers serve alcohol and I don't meet the age limit yet. I screwed it up by saying "yeah, that sounds fun actually" instead of yes. He said to give him a couple days to think about it so now I'm just waiting and so nervous. I really need this job, since there isn't another half-decent restaurant within 20 miles. Anyways, what do you think I should do now? What tips and advice can you give me related to the food service industry?
