http://www.d2brigade.net/?p=200#more-200

If you're curious, this is the list.
20. Delphine Eraclea - Last Exile
19. Hellmaster Phibrizzo - Slayers Next
18. Vicious - Cowboy Bebop
17. Choji Suitengu - Speed Grapher
16. Gauron - Full Metal Panic!
15. Akio Ohtori - Revolutionary Girl Utena
14. Nakago - Fushigi Yuugi
13. Darcia the 3rd - Wolf's Rain
12. Dio Brando - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
11. Someone from Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. I can't make out the name.
10. The Major - Hellsing Ultimate
9. Freeza - Dragonball Z
8. Shinobu Sensui - Yu Yu Hakusho
7. Makoto Shishio - Rurouni kenshin
6. Griffith - Berserk
5. Ladd Russo - Baccano!
4. Sousuke Aizen - Bleach
3. Light Yagami - Death Note
2. Legato Bluesummers - Trigun
1. Johan Liebert - Monster
My thoughts:
1. Aizen is WAY too high. I do not like him. he had potential but that potential was long ago squandered.
2. If you watch the vid, she explains she uses the either English or Japanese, depending on which did the villain better.
Now she used the Japanese version for Nakago but the English version for Freeza... Now I'm about halfway through the FY anime and I can say for certain Nakago has a better dub voice than Freeza. Linda Young is awesome but she was simply miscast.
3. i want to watch Monster now.

I don't think I'd even put Ladd Russo on the list. Do we ever see him kill somebody who didn't have it coming? The guy basically gets off on killing those who prey on the weak, he just dresses it up differently.

Ours was better. At least their #1 was our #2, and their top 4 were all on our top 25. As more proof of how much we love One Piece here, notice that while our #1 was Crocodile and Rob Lucci was also on our list, One Piece gets no representation in this top 20 list.

Speaking of which, what's next for our top 25 lists?

Heh, ours barely got any nominations compared to the other top 25 lists that's been going on here, so I think ours is rather incomplete. A redo on the topic should be done a little later down the line. (And by rights, Croc was not #1 if you count it right) Honestly, I feel that there list is more diverse, granted I only know about almost half the characters on there list, whereas ours is mainly shonen heavy. (Nothing wrong with that by any means. Maybe a little biasness though)

If it were my list though, Vicious would be much higher than that.

It's true that our list didn't get as many votes as it should have, but I agree more with the end results than this list. I just remerabered that it got so few votes that it had to be limited to a top 20 anyway, so it can actually be fairly compared to this list.

Reviewing the villains list from here, I again am not very happy with how high Aizen is. But whatev.
What confuses me is Pein's placement. Thanks to Kishi not being able to write, he's not even really a character. He has no personality or will of his own.

If someone from Naruto had to be picked, I wonder why it wasn't Orochimaru. He was the best villain in the series IMO.

Not a single villian from One Piece? That's preposterous.

Legato seems rather high... I would have thought Knives would have made the list.

Dio ought to be higher.

You know... I don't really like Frieza but I suppose he is the cruelist of the Dragon Ball villians by far. Cell and Buu really weren't as nasty as Frieza was overall. Not even "pure evil" Buu. Cell was my favorite villian but compared to Frieza he wasn't such a bad guy. Probably because some of his cells came from heros and he had a bit of sportsmanship to him. He was still a murderer but he didn't have entire planets erradicated like Frieza did.

That's what he was planning on doing in the end, though. I remeraber his whole epic speech about how he's come to realize he was made to destroy everything everywhere.

I like Cell more than Frieza as well. Wanna know why? Well I'll tell you anyway. It's because he was actually smart. Freeza was always just a cowardly chump who happened to be dropped into power.
Cell on the other hand actually started off weaker than one of the heroes. He had to flee and strategize before making his next move.
When he gained his next powerup, he was again overshadowed by Vegeta and Trunks. So, like before, he used his mind and manipulated Vegeta.

But in the end, the best Big Bad of DB has been and always will be King Piccolo.

I'm happy that Hellmaster Phibrizzo was in the list(He's my favorite Slayers baddie) but I wish that some of the Fullmetal Alchemist baddies would be on the list like Envy, Greed, Dante, or Brotherhood version Pride.

Just like to point out that Cell and Buu WERE eviler that Frieza because they wanted to destroy the universe while Frieza just wanted to rule over it.

Well evil is subjective.

Does wanting to destroy everything make you more evil? I don't think so. Contrast Kid Buu with Freeza. Buu is a being with a mind barely above an animal's and he was made to destroy. he showed this when he casually annihilated the Earth for no real reason.

Freeza is a regular being who chose to be as wicked as he is. He doesn't want to destroy everything but would prefer it that everyone in the universe be enslaved under him. He gleefully tortures any who oppose him and he made the barbaric Saiyan race look like good guys.

So on the Evil-o-Meter, Freeza is the worst IMO. Probably because he's the simplest and most cliche.

But think about it. Yeah, Frieza did want to take over the universe and Cell and Buu just want to kill. But if Frieza took over the universe, that will be hell. Frieza won't kill you just like that, he will slowly kill you. Unlike Cell and Buu, your life will be gone like that.

Personally, slowly dying is much worse then dying quickly. Thats why Frieza is that man.

Not a bad list, actually. Though since it's anime, some manga only villains were left off, but what's there is fairly consistent.

But Aizen is way too high, and no One Piece representation is rather odd.

My guess is she's kind of banking on Soul Society Arc Aizen, who is actually GREAT as a villain. Once he took off the glasses, though, he kind of lost his charm.

But yeah, this girl knows her stuff. Her reviews are great, you should really check them out. Even if you don't agree with the final rating, she always has really well thought out rationale behind it.
