Unless you own a time machine, it's impossible to know that a character/idea will be bad before you create it. So basically you're suggesting, on the off chance that it might be a bad idea, that no one should create anything, ever. Good plan. :shrug:

Characters are like cartoon-loving versions of celebrities.

You gossip about them, want to know everything, learn all these little "fun facts" about them, when some new developement in an episode happens it's almost like a celebrity getting married or having a baby, etc.

People can look too deeply in it, yeah, but like.

You know.

As long as it's not like that girl from that Pysch episode who was obsessed with that spanish soap opera and thought the characters were "real" and wanted to protect her favorite character from getting hurt by killing those who were gonna hurt her. :0

I'd say the vast majority who participate in these list threads DO look too far. There's rarely genuine discussion, just the same members who every thread obsess over the same shows and/or characters. Given that other areas of the TZ Forums boast well rounded, innovative and healthy discussion it's dissapointing and distancing to see that attitude fail to penetrate here.

I would say Itchy from The Simpsons due to Scratchy finally catching him, but we never got to see what happened because of those stupid nerds unplugging the TV.
