Jerk characters who we like anyway

Cartman's the only one who can actually sing a song about someone's mom and where the other kids would agree. On two separate occasions, he sang the "Kyle's Mom" song, and in multiple languages too.

Kirk from the Futurama episode "The Cyber House Rules" is a jerk to Leela, but he's hilarious, especially his obnoxious, over-the-top laugh after an insult.

"My eyes may not work, but at least I got TWO of them! A HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

I kind of like Kevin from Ed Edd n Eddy. I don't know why. Not me but I know plenty of people that say that Angelica is their favorite Rugrat.

Dash Baxter(Danny Phantom): I had to admire this jerk, for the sheer fact that he manages to win so often. He also made me laugh. Truthfully, he was more interesting than the hero. (Heck, he's in the opening title!)

Seto Kaiba(Yu-Gi-Oh!): He was the reason I watched Yu-Gi-Oh(Duel Monsters dub). [Eric Stewart: great job!] Just watching the kid's corporate goings-on was a blast. He's also handsome, has cool ETERNALLY WAVING CLOTHING, and a soft spot for his little brother. Finally: the Blue Eyes White Dragon. This anime teen wails on Dash, takes HIS lunch money, and burns it because he, Kaiba, is inordinately Scrooge McDuck wealthy.

Slingshot(G1 Transformers): He kind of needs his attitude to keep up with the likes of G1 Starscream.

Dr. Braxis(Challenge of the Gobots): The voice of Rene Auberjonois. The fact that he outlasted Dr. Arkeville on THE OTHER TRANSFORMING ROBOT SHOW. The fact that the giant robots were the least of his concerns on that wacky show as time went on.

I can't think of too many cartoon jerks offhand that I like. Only one's an out-and-out villain(aside from Kaiba giving Sugoroku(solomon/grandpa) a heart attack after ripping the fourth BEWD in half!).

There's also Donald Duck(at times): he invented the genre.

Coach McGuirk of course. Yeah, he's a jerk, but for some reason anytime he acts jerkish we want to see more. He's also dumb and hateful, but he knows what buttons to push. A Hilariously unique character, and a real jerk.

Ren Hoek

Ren isn't a complete jerk. His soft side shows in The Big Shot, Son of Stimpy, Fake Dad, and right at the end of Stimpy's Big Day when he's crying.

Captain K'nuckles

He IS a complete jerk. He's awesome anyway, though.

And I love how they're able to convey that he's a drunk, enough though they use maple syrup instead of alcohol. But we all know what the guy is really drinking. ;)

Has anyone said the later version of Daffy Duck? He's a jerk in those later cartoons but I like him anyway because I know deep down that's he's only being a jerk because WB was cash strapped and was forcing him to be. LOL.

I'l chime in and agree about Eric (Dungeons and Dragons): I only got to see this for the first time a few years ago, and he is just so awesome. I love his humor and sarcasm, and the fact that he's not afraid to let it be known how crappy their situation is. I know I'd be grumpy if I was stuck in a strange place, being "riddled" at by a short wizard who can't seem to find a solid way to get me home, constantly fighting strange creatures, sleeping in the dirt, etc. And it's not like Eric was all bad - he was good when it really mattered.

Garfield and Roy (Garfield and Friends): And yes, we know it's true. Sure Garfield's not a bad cat, but he puts Jon and Odie through all kinds of problems, tags along on and ruins Jon's few-and-far-between dates, rolls out the food bills like toilet paper, etc. I know it's all done for humor, but he's no shining angel. I love him anyway, though. As for Roy, he's hilariously awful, and how could you not like him despite his underhanded and mean tendencies? :)
