what is the significance of this interview? Over...say an interview with bill the farmer from aberdeen whose goat has given birth to triplets?
 
I have never really been a fan - but I warmed to him in that interview and actually found him amusing - he sure knows some big ole words shame Deadwood was cancelled as he would have fitted in.
 
Which is something that comes under discussion (not the goat - the culture that often elevates pointless celebrity above ideas and events that really matter - demonstrated in the example of a respected serious journalist interviewing a comedian on the subject of his fame)
 
Pax was right to ask the question but Brands reply was perfectly correct in what it said.

Brand can be a bit hyper active - perhaps his long time drug addiction has long term effects, but if so he must have used different drugs to Ozzy Osbourne who's drug use has left him often incoherent
 
His reply was an excuse. He acted vulgar in a pre planned phone call,paps alledgedly acted vulgar in shoving camera up Perry's dress. No difference.
 
The phonecall was not pre-planned .
Clearly you've not listened to anything Brand has ever said about the incident or even heard it.

Sachs was supposed to be a guest on the Brand radio show.
When he didn't turn up Brand decided to call him to find out why and when he failed to answer the phone then decided to leave a "humourous" message.
It was in fact Jonathan Ross who shouted out the offending line about Sachs Granddaughter .
Subsequent calls to apologise for the comment made matters worse as both Ross and Brand got caught up in the moment
You also seem to forget the show was recorded so the fact that the incident was even broadcast was not the responsibility of either Brand or Ross.
 
Right I don't know a lot about this but, BIB.
They're both broadcasters, they could have pulled the plug on what was broadcast, as you say it was recorded.
Editing and inserting a few records with fills, seems perfectly doable to me.
