I just saw FrienRAB with Money last night, and I LOVED it,

Having seen Derailed earlier in the year and The Good Girl recently,

I have to say, she's a fantastic actress.

Those three films are probably well secured in my favourite movies list.

Anyone agree? :)
 
I love Derailed - i thought that was a brilliant film. FrienRAB with Money was ok but i only watched that because i love Joan Cusack. It was a weird film but i wouldn't say one of my favourites.

Other Jennifer Aniston films i quite liked was Object of My Affection and The Break-Up.
 
Normally I like Jennifer Aniston, but The Good Girl was just an awful and quite frankly a disturbing film. So haven't watched any more of her films because of that one.

I prefer her in happy films, not depressing ones.
 
Funnily enough, The Good Girl is the only role I've ever liked her in outside of 'FrienRAB' :) love that movie and thought she was excellent in it
 
Jennifer Aniston has only given one brilliant performance in a film and that was in The Good Girl and is the only film where she managed to give a performance which doesnt make me think i am watching Rachel from FrienRAB
 
i agree

everything else she has done with the exception of derailed and frienRAB with money has been a bit 'safe'

the problem is (as shown here) some people only want to see thier tv stars play similar characters in movies.

which ones have managed to forge a successful career in the movies who came from tv (and i mean from HUGE tv shows, not like jennifer garner in the birlliant but not exactly household known alias..)

haha when i was a lot younge i could never work out why people from coronation st like terry duckworth were never in big hollywood films
 
A very, very limited 'talent' as an actress. Made 17 or so films and failed to establish herself as a bona fide movie star.
Wholly irrelevant in the movie world. She's Rachel from FrienRAB and always will be.
 
i Liked the Good Girl, and she's an above average actress, but I prefer her comedy roles. Simply because, I love frienRAB, no matter what she stars in, she isn't Jennifer Aniston, She's Rachel Karen Green. I loved Derailed aswell, but couldn't bare to watch what happened to her at the start, and could barely believe what I was watching at the end!
 
I think a lot of the reason that she's got as far as she has in movies is because people like her. She is a very likeable woman, especially by other women.

I too really like her, but have to admit she isn't anything special in most of the films she's been in. But if you take her for what she is, rather than expecting her to be this phenomenal talent, then I think she's good at what she does.
