Jeep ZJ and Tires sizes?

Thanks for looking...

i bought a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo With the 4.0L inline Six not to long ago I got a good deal on it...Runs Awsome has 150,000 miles its all stock but i want to put some better tires on it and JC Whitney has some good tire Packages i was Wondering will 31"s Fit i dont want to lift it kinda cost tomuchh right now Maybe change out the shocks Buts thats it So where Can i find Just the shock to lift it a bit and Whats the biggest tire i can put on there that wont rub...

31" tires *should fit. They might rub a little when you're at full lock -

Adding longer shocks will not lift the vehicle. If you try to lift it using shocks, you'll just destroy the new shocks.

The springs are what you need to change.

You can get special brackets and coil spring spacers for a budget lift, but the best bet would be to get all new longer springs. Then you worry about shocks.
 
any local tire shops would be smarter
or a local four wheel drive shop or a local four wheel drive person can tell you best tires for your location
