Jeep Wrangler questions?

I am planning on buying a Jeep Wrangler.

Do they hold their value very well?
What are the most common repairs needed on them after time?
Are they more expensive then the average vehicle to fix?
Im planning on buying a used one for 15k and im wondering in 5 years is it going to be resalable after that if its kept in good condition? (odd question)

Jeeps hold their value REALLY well if you keep it in good condition. Although if you spend a lot of money on aftermarket add-on's like bumpers, lift kit, tires etc. don't expect to get any money back for that stuff unless you part it out. Take good care of your engine and it will take care of you. If the Jeep you are buying has an AMC I6 4.0L engine in it then you can expect to keep running that engine right past 300,000 miles as long as you change the fluids and keep it regularly maintained. They are relatively cheap to fix if you don't mind getting parts from a salvage yard because there are just so many Wranglers out there. Not to say that most Wranglers end up in Junkyards.. they get into accidents and mis-haps and well.. mountainside rollovers and that sort of thing =D just like any other car (except the mountainside rollover)

I got a 1998 Wrangler Sport earlier this year with 74k miles on it and it cost me over $9,000. Any other vehicle out there in the same "New" price range as a Wrangler would never bring $9,000 when it's 11 years old. So don't worry your Wrangler will definitely hold its value and will probably be your favorite vehicle ever!

They hold value very good it's like any other vehicle you need to keep up on the maintenance. One thing to keep in mind is make sure it's a 6 cylinder and not a four.
The only thing I'm aware of that breaks is the exhaust manifold, it will crack down by the exhaust pipe,Also if it's a manual transmission never put a cheap hydraulic bearing in they usually will come in the clutch kits you are better off spending the xtra money to get a good one(200.00-300.00)
