I have a Jeep Wrangler TJ generation, 4 cyl, manual transmission. I was driving it recently, and it ran fine. But when I got into the vehicle once again after 2 minutes inside a local market, the power seemed to fail. I saw the lights turn on for a split second and the starter tried to crank, but then all lights and power went out.

I tried to jump start the vehicle, but that did not work, the starter would not turn. I was able to push start the vehicle, and drove it straight home, but when I arrived home and depressed the clutch, the idle began to drop significantly, to the point that the engine was turning at barely 200 rpm, at which point I forced the vehicle to stall.

Is there one component that is causing this? Something with the vehicle's computer system? Or is it a starter/starter solenoid failure? Just a dead battery? Is the alternator broken and unable to charge the battery properly? Help!

Sound like the alternator cant charge the battery, you should get it check at an auto parts store, and take the battery while your at it. It should be free to check. Those are really the only two culprits if the Jeep was working fine before and was not tampered with.
