Jeep Wrangler as my first vehicle....?

I'm highly considering Jeep for my first vehicle. V6 engine & most definitely a hardtop
I love the look of them & the "cool" factor thing isn't that bad either, haha.

I don't want to purchase on a whim, I want to know everything!
Plus there's Rubicon, Unlimited, just all these different options.
Are they safe? Do they get decent gas mileage? Tell me everything I need to know (I'm also going to do some google research, I just wanted to hear from actual people).

wranglers are vary top heavy so they roll easy. but i have only ever driven jeeps they are very good vehicals and safe. my husband rolled his on its side got out got a tractor tiped it back over and drove it out of the ditch. he also got rear ended in the same jeep the othe car was totaled he drove away with a minor dent.
- they get less than twenty mpg, my jeep gets 17 mpg
-they also drive amazingly
- they go almost every where
-wranglers get very cold in the winter if the heater doesn't work properly (no insulation in top)
-easy to fix when they have problems

- wranglers even with the hard top are vary noisy, because there is no insulation in the top.
if you get a different jeep i would not get a grand cherokee they are kinda crappy
- but wranglers are vary good vehicals , expensive tho if bought brand new.
and i have never driven a rubicon but that is like my dream vehicle.
