I was driving on the highway yesterday and then I noticed at 70 mph my Jeep intermittently started to "hiccup". I thought I hit something in the road but the more I accelerated the worse the knocking got. Eventually my check engine light came on. Gas consumption has increased. Oil pressure gauge and water temp are normal. Any ideas on what may be causing this would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!
P.S. I wonder if it's a broken timing chain that triggered the knock sensor.
