Jeep winch, I found someone selling 6000 lbs winch?

Ive got a jeep tj, and i found someone selling a 6000lbs Warn winch, its a decent price considering its a Warn, but i know its not ideal for pulling a Tj, if i were to get it, would it be better then nothing? or should i just try save up for a proper 9000lbs+ winch? Its used and is a good price, so i would not be too pissed if it blew on the trail lol. Let me hear your thoughts.
the winch is selling for 150, where as a 9000lbs winch would cost 800$ + mounting hardware

so big a difference here, i dont exactly have 800$ to blow, but i can afford 150
 
if your worried about it use a snatch block and now you have a 12000 lbs winch, just wont pull as fast, so are you in a hurry or just want to get unstuck
 
It will work good for our Jeep. Are you getting the mount with it? Make sure you mount it good. 4 Wheel Part used to sell just the mounts at a fair price. Also would help to have a snatch block. I have used a Warn hard for over 20+ years with no trouble. Good luck
 
Save for the proper- how much more is it? if you blow your 6k then you're out that money plus you'd be winch-less until you saved up for another one. Unless it is a real steal and it works, then I could see getting it.
