I have a 02 Liberty and after it has been running and warmed up it will idle down to about 500 RPM and then shut off. Oil light comes on, right after it shuts off and nothing else. If I try to start it it runs but then shuts right off when it idles down. I can give it some gas to keep the RPMs up and it will stay running and as soon as I let go of the gas it shuts off.
What I have done:
-Ran codes...Got no error codes
-Check voltage to my battery and alternator-checked fine
-Cleaned out the PCV Value-I am going to replace it tomorrow
I did notice the throttle cables are loose and not sure if this might be the problem. I am not sure how to tighten them or if I should.
I don't think its electrical since codes are not coming up. I have to believe its something mechanical.
