Jeep reviews or opinions?

The only bad Jeep I've ever encountered was the '91 with the manual transmission because it was a bad transmission, other than that, my whole family loves Jeeps, or pretty much anything reliable with 4WD. I've never noticed it, but some say the suspension gives too much body roll which is uncomfortable.
I think that's a great first car, but remember, Jeeps aren't made for creature comforts, they're not uncomfortable, but it won't be loaded to the hilt with features -- which is less to break if you look at it from a practial viewpoint.
In my opinion, Jeeps are great cars. But you might want to hold off until the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, rumor has it that there will be an optional 6.4L V8 producing 500 horsepower. That's what I have my sites set on! :)
Oh, and being a Jeep there is a huge following (so it'll be easy to find parts to keep it going), join some forums, look at some aftermarket parts, you'll learn, have fun and have a new car! What's not to love.

Hope this helps.
