Jeep overheating and replaced sensor ?

I have replaced the sensor connected to the cooling fan as many said would be the problem. I also connected the fan directly to the battery, still no action. I'm thinking that it is the fan motor. If you h anything have any info it would be great.
 
Well, if you hook 12 volts up to the fan, and it doesn't turn, either it's seized, or the motor is dead.

At least it's fairly easy to get to.

(Note: I can always be wrong)
 
i dont want to seem simplistic but when its running and hot did you squeeze the top hose if the thermostat is stuck or broken it wont send the hot water across the top to the radiator causing overheating as its not circulating also try the same test on the small or large hose on the heater core its the hoses on the firewall if its blocked it could cause this to overheat either one should be simple to replace and the test the thermostat rermove it set it in cold water in a pot and bring the temp up slowly till it opens all the way if it doesnt work it will stay closed and wont move then just replace that and the seal go to autozoneonline and look up the parts and click the pix and they show how-to replace also look this car and problem up in How-To's in youtube video okok
