Jeep Liberty 2005 slides a lot?

Every time I accelerate the car seems to make noise (dry), like If I'm drifting. Also, yesterday I was headed over the gym and while accelerating my car would just slide and after 2 seconds it got the grip. Now making a turn, I almost died because it began to slide. I turned like 2 times and then finally went straight, and crashed into a parking lot (was raining) ... Is it the tires, or what happened?
 
Unless your suspension is REALLY REALLY blown (like it can't put any power to the ground, no downforce, whatever you want to call it) then yeah, it's your tires. And if you have directional tires, make sure they're not on backwards.
